    Nine days of riding through this exuberant country full of contrasts and magnificent views is what adventure travel is made for. While technically challenging, your days will be filled with everlasting memories and unforgettable highlights to be shared with your new found friends.     Itinerary

    Day 1

      Arrival – Costa Rica

      Welcome Riders!

      Upon your arrival to (SJO) Juan Santamaria International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Costa Rican Motorcycle Tours.

      A private ground transfer awaits to shuttle you to the hotel for your first night’s stay.

      The Hotel is located approximately 30 minutes driving time from the Airport.

      This evening, a welcome dinner is included at the hotel.

      Day 2

      San Jose – Irazu – Turrialba Valley

      After breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to get the bikes. After securing them you will have your first safety and security briefing.  Today’s route takes you through the Central Volcanic Mountain Range and up to the Irazu Volcano. From there you will wind your way down to the Turrialba Valley for more of the day’s exciting adventure. Full of beautiful views, twisting roads and many other wonderful sights to behold.

      Turrialba Valley – Dominical

      Today’s route is one of the favorites of our riders, as it is technically challenging in such that it entails many twisties. All  while you climb to almost 11,000ft. At the Summit you will experience breathtaking views of the Irazul and Turrialba Volcanos.  You then will make your descent back down to sea level. This part of your journey is truly a rider’s dream, as it is filled with all levels of technicality.  It’s what you live for.

      Dominical – Sierpe – Dominical

      Today’s route takes you to visit some sites of archaeological interest that are quite unique in the world. You then experience the ride along one of the largest rivers in Costa Rica enjoying Stunning views along the way following the Pan-American Highway.

      Dominical – Monteverde

      Today’s Route takes you on route 34, which in Costa Rica is known as the coastal highway. The terrain is naturally flat in its beginning, leaving the second half of the journey towards the mountains of Monteverde full of twisties and uphill climbs and many curves. A fun day awaits.

      Monteverde – Arenal Volcano

      Today’s route takes you to the Arenal volcano area, to enjoy one of the many natural Hot Springs that the region has to offer.  Along the way you will wind along the road that follows lake Arenal.  Full of twisties and Hairpin turns.  Slow and easy is the name of the game.

      ARENAL VOLCANO – CAÑO NEGRO – ARENAL VOLCANO

      A very peaceful but enjoyable ride awaits you today. You will ride East and then North from La Fortuna approximately 50 miles to Caño Negro Natural Nature Reserve, where a Safari boat tour awaits you.
      The ride there consists of many hills, valley’s and lots of twisties, making the topography quite an interesting experience with all it’s unique and challenging characteristics. Communication and vigilance along the way is key to all your surroundings as the road is challenging in it’s complexity.  Again, it’s what you live for.

      After lunch, you ride back to La Fortuna on a different route that takes you through the towns of Katira and San Rafael de Guatuso and on your way back to the hotel for the evening to enjoy the Hot Springs  or whatever suites you at your leisure.

      LA FORTUNA – RINCON DE LA VIEJA

      A long but very technical and scenic day awaits you. Today you will ride around Lake Arenal, which is the main hydraulic power source for all of Costa Rica. You will be winding your way along the foothills of 4 different volcanoes. ARENAL – TENORIO – MIRAVALLES – RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA. All the while showing their exuberant beauty through amazing landscapes, as well as picturesque towns, winding back roads, and of course, lot’s of hairpin turns and Twisties. The ride becomes a bit more technical as you begin your climb. As you ride through the town of Cuipilapa you will experience the beautiful church as well as pass by the geothermal power mills, you then wind your way to Hotel Borinquen, located in the North Pacific Region, by way of back Farm roads and to the Hotel for the evenings stay.

      RINCON DE LA VIEJA VOLCANO – TAMARINDO BEACH

      Today’s ride takes you through some spectacular beach and back country views. Your riding will be smooth, and leisurely as you make your way down to the town of Liberia, then detouring for stops along the Beaches of Panama, Potrero, Brasilito, Conchal, Huacas and finally arriving in the famous and quaint Beach town of Tamarindo.

      Lunch to be included at a local restaurant.

      Day 10

      THE NICOYA PENINSULA

      Today you will ride from Tamarindo south down the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula. You will visit some of the most spectacular beaches this area has to offer, such as Samara, and Carrillo. Winding your way back, short stops at the Guatil Artisans Center as well as the Folkloric City of Santa Cruz awaits those who are looking to purchase local Artisan Crafts and Souvenir’s.

      The ride out of Samara will be one of the most technically challenging rides of the entire trip. Truly a rider’s dream.

      Once back at the hotel, you say goodbye to your trusty motorcycle for the last time as its now time to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Either enjoying the hotel’s facilities, or to explore the downtown area of this lovely seaside jewel.

        Leisure Day and farewell Dinner.

        Departure Day

        At the appointed time.  A Private Transfer will take you from the hotel to (LIR) Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia for your Travel home.

        Travel time is Approximately 1.5 hours
